How can students and families purchase books?
Cash: Families may send cash in for their students to use at the Book Fair.
e-Wallet. An Wallet is a secure, cashless way for students to shop at the fair. Parents or other family members can create an e-wallet account for each student and add funds.(Sign up coming soon)
Credit Card: Students or Adults can pay with Credit Card at the fair.
How much money should I put in my child's e-Wallet send in cash?
This is completely up to you! Our average spend per child during the book fair is $55.
Is there non-book merchandise available at the Book Fair?
Yes, there will be non-book merchandise such as pens, posters, erasers, bookmarks, etc. for sale. Please discuss your expectations regarding spending Book Fair money on these items with your child.
How can families contribute to teachers' classroom libraries?
Each teacher has a bin in the media center with their name. During your visit to the Fair, you can purchase these books and request a donation bookplate at the register that can be added to the book to be given to the teacher.
What if families cannot come to the Book Fair or want to buy a title not available at the fair?

Does the Book Fair benefit CSES?
Yes! Every purchase from the Book Fair earns funds for the Carderock PTA.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Yes. Sales tax is not included in the prices of the books and other merchandise.
Can I volunteer at the Fair?
Yes! Volunteer sign-ups coming soon.
Please make sure you have completed mandatory MCPS Volunteer Training in the past 3 years
