Welcome to the Carderock Springs PTA Website.

The PTA is a non- profit organization run and managed solely by parent volunteers. We are our children’s primary advocacy group. All of our funding comes from membership dues and from various fundraising activities held throughout the year.

Our success depends upon your support. The best way to show your support is to get involved. You can start by becoming a member. Next, join the many other parents that give so unselfishly of their time and expertise. To get more information on opportunities, just contact a Committee Chairperson or a member of the Executive Board and they will find a place for you. Even just a few hours of your time can make a difference.

The PTA President sends out an electronic weekly newsletter called the Wednesday Backpack Mail which includes highlights of upcoming activities and other important announcements. Another key form of communication is the PTA listserv which sends out timely notices and other information relevant to our community. The real purpose underlying our involvement in the PTA is to provide a better overall educational experience for our children. Here at Carderock we are working hard to make that happen. Just walk onto our school grounds and into our new building, look at the faces, listen to the voices and you will reap the benefits of our energy. There’s a lot we can do together.
