CSES PTA Cultural Arts Program – Cultural Arts Assemblies and Artist-in-ResidenceThe CSES PTA Cultural Arts Program provides enrichment to the MCPS curriculum by exposing our students to a variety of cultural arts topics via cultural arts assemblies and an artist-in-residence.
Cultural Arts Assemblies
(Contact Jenny Spreitzer - firstname.lastname@example.org or Kim Kuehl - email@example.com with questions or ideas!)
Students attend assembly performances throughout the school year, typically four or five, lasting approximately 45-60 minutes in length. The cultural arts’ performers provide education and inspiration to our students in numerous subject areas, as the PTA strives to expose students to a wide variety of performing groups. Parents are always welcome to attend the assemblies which are communicated to the CSES community in advance via the weekly online e-newsletter. For scheduling info, check out our PTA e-calendar link on our homepage. For a glimpse at the past, here are recaps of the past two years:

Every year, the PTA also supplements the MCPS curriculum with an Artist-in-Residence program which provides longer-term enrichment to our students. This longer-term program focuses on one segment of the student population or the entire student body. In past years, the PTA has welcomed artists, poets, storytellers, authors, and musicians.
